Better Health at Work Award

Penrith Building Society has recently signed up to the Better Health at Work Award commencing at Bronze level, which focuses on the Health and Wellbeing of its employees initially. As we pass and progress through the levels we can use our knowledge and skills to aid the wider community.

Clare, Matthew, Freya and James have all been trained as health advocates and are responsible for the delivery of the award within the Society. They have completed a health needs assessment with all the staff, achieving a 96% completion rate, to establish what aspects of heath and wellbeing the staff would like to know more about and will be running campaigns and providing support and information to ensure we deliver on those aspects.

We have already commenced our push towards healthy eating, providing staff members with the opportunity to access fresh fruit while at work. There are many more activities planned in the near future.
