Making a donation to our local foodbank

Last week we were pleased to be able to send a large donation of food and sundries to our local Salvation Army Foodbank.

This was collected as a result of a Reverse Advent Calendar which all our staff took part in during December and involved us all bringing an item in for each of the 24 days of the advent period.

As you can imagine, this resulted in a sizeable quantity which we hope will boost the Foodbank’s stock at a time when more people than ever are using this service.

In the UK 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children – meaning foodbanks have become a vital resource for many.

We felt this was an important area to provide support and we will continue to do so over the year. We would encourage anyone to find your local foodbank and donate if you are able, but also to contact them should you be experiencing difficulties and need help.
