Portfolio Landlords

The Society does not lend to portfolio landlords. Our definition of a portfolio landlord is a borrower who has a portfolio or more than three encumbered rental properties.

If the borrower(s) are party to any other buy-to-let mortgages as joint owners, these would count towards the number of properties deemed to be owned by the individual in the portfolio.

Holiday let properties fall outside of the portfolio landlord definition and therefore do not count towards the total of three encumbered properties.
