Guarantor Mortgages

The Society may consider borrower(s) who do not meet the lending criteria if a guarantor, being a member of the borrower(s) family of suitable financial standing, is available.

In such cases the guarantor must satisfy the Society’s affordability criteria in their own right.

For residential loans, the Society will not lend >80% LTV on any such case. For BTL advances, the Society will not lend in excess of 70% LTV.

Guarantor support in residential cases, should be used as a short-term route to assist the borrower in achieving home ownership with a plausible exit strategy for the guarantor in place.
