The Society will require sight of an EPC for ALL BTL applications. The Society will require that the property must achieve a minimum EPC rating of D. Properties that have a rating of E, F or G will not be suitable security for BTL mortgage purposes.
Where a property has an E, F or G rating and the applicant has a credible plan to improve the rating (costings, schedule of work, evidence of funding), the application may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
